Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute was established in Aug. 2001 in order to contribute to the local economy through the structural improvement of machineryㆍmetal industries, a core of local businesses, and strengthening of the technology competitiveness in cooperation with Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Daegu City, and local businesses.

Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute is promoting various business supporting projects for high-value added production of local companies, especially with Machinery Parts Material Test & Evaluation Center, which supports high-precision tests and evaluations for the reconsideration of reconsideration and quality improvement of local machinery parts and metal industry, and with Mechatronics Parts Industrialization Center, which supports high value added production combining traditional machinery and metal products with electronic and information technology.

In addition, the establishment of Next Generation Mold Technology Innovation Center has been actively promoted since 2007 to develop the Mold industry into IT based hightech industry. Now we are doing our best to contribute to the advancement and globalization of the local mold industries by promoting technology innovation and structural improvement of those companies and fostering advanced companies that will take the lead of mold industries.

We, Daegu Machinery Institute, regarding the local businesses as the primary factors, will collect all talents of the staff, contribute to the local machineryㆍparts industries, become an institute that draws affection and trust from local businesses, and further, develop into a renowned specialized institute in parts materials.
